Review Portable Charger Watson / Vivan

Portable charger or power banks are very helpful as a power backup power on the go. When you run out of battery while travelling, you just connect with your Blackberry to portable charger, and battery charging process begins. Quite practical for those of you who are lazy to open a backdoor to change batteries.

But whether the portable charger / power bank is safe for your Blackberry? Let's test with a simple experiment.

A charger device will be dangerous if it has a different voltage to the voltage needed by the device. Blackberry requires a voltage of 5 volts to charge. A good portable charger will provide a supply voltage in the range of USB voltage of between 4.75v - 5.25V. Above that range, the device will experience the threat of a dangerous overvoltage.

In the unloaded condition or not given the burden of charging, portable charger provides a supply of about 5.1 volts. Since they have not given load, ampere meter still shows zero.

When given the burden of a Blackberry Pearl, the numbers on the volt meter shows a number of about 4.8 volt, and ampere meter shows a number of around 300mA. Now let us test other portable chargers and other devices. We will test Vivan portable charger / Watson X05 5600mAh.

Similar to previous results, the numbers on the volt meter in the unloaded condition or have not given load figures showed 5.1 volts. Figures on the ampere meter is still in the position of zero because there is no load on the output current. Now we try to give weight to perform charging in Blackberry Onyx.

With a given load, the volt meter on a series of portable charger 5600 mAh X05 Vivan figures show 4.8 volts, and the ampere meter lead on a number of around 400mA.

What about other devices? Let's try it with the iPhone.

Similar results we obtain with the burden of charging the iPhone.

Of the three examples above, can we draw a simple conclusion, that the portable charger Watson / Vivan provide power supply in accordance with the USB voltage range is between 4.75 - 5.25 volts. Current generated depends on the device being in charge, and in accordance with current specifications contained in the package.

Thus, you do not have to worry about using a portable charger Watson / Vivan. You can use it to help you overcome the problem of shortage of battery power on the go.
